Hi! I’m Emma, and I’m a third-year student of Linguistics here at Edinburgh. I love all things language, and spend a good bit of my time as Secretary for Linguistics Society. With the rest of my time, I enjoy baking, reading, and swimming.
Why were you drawn to Edinburgh?
I was originally drawn to Edinburgh because of its incredible academic merit, but as soon as I arrived I realised how much more there is to the university. My favourite thing quickly became the openness of the department and the approachability of the academic staff, as well as the sense of community of the Linguistics department and the school of PPLS.
