Molly PalmerProfileLandscape…by Molly / from Vermont / went to Burlington High School / now studying Archaeology (UG) / Class of 2019

Your Time at Edinburgh

Why did you choose to study abroad in Edinburgh?
I was interested in European Archaeology and I had a really good impression of the city when I came to Britain on holiday several years ago.

What do you enjoy the most about your degree programme?
The practical experience it facilitates.

What opportunities did you take advantage of at Edinburgh?
Fresher’s week, practical experience in my chosen programme, student societies, museums, and festivals.

Final Thoughts

What words of encouragement would you have for students from your home state or province thinking about applying to Edinburgh?
I recommend taking advantage of the dual enrollment programme which is available to all VT high school Juniors and Seniors. It allows you to take two free classes from a selection of state colleges, which can help you to more confidently assess if the programme you want to apply for here is the right fit.

How would you describe Edinburgh in three words?
Urban, historical, rainy

What are you hoping to do after graduation?
I want to apply for a Master of Science so that I can become a specialist in my field
