Your Time at Edinburgh

Why did you choose to study abroad in Edinburgh?
Edinburgh Uni has a great combination of a U.K. degree-driven program and a flexibility common to Scottish universities (for Humanities courses) in the first two years and this drew my attention. Edinburgh also allowed me to pursue a unique degree program with history and a language all in a familiar four-year schedule.

What do you enjoy the most about your degree programme?
I loved studying abroad for a full year in Russia!

What opportunities did you take advantage of at Edinburgh?
I volunteered in museums in and around Edinburgh and immersed myself in Edinburgh’s cultural atmosphere. I got involved in the societies at Uni, such as the Medieval Reenactment Society and Archaeology Society, which benefited by CV and made my life at Uni exciting!

Final Thoughts

What words of encouragement would you have for students from your home state or province thinking about applying to Edinburgh?
Go for it! An opportunity to study for four years in a wonderful country, not to mention a beautiful and historic city, is not to be missed. Edinburgh has a great support network of staff and students, so the city quickly becomes a new home!

How would you describe Edinburgh in three words?
Dynamic, Challenging, Fulfilling

What are you hoping to do after graduation?
I plan to pursue my studies further in a master’s program also in the U.K.
